Free training, mentorship, and career support for adults entering the skilled trades.
Technical Training
Our training program gives participants a strong foundation in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Instruction is hands-on, and classes are kept small so every participant gets individual attention.
What participants learn:
- Tool Safety & Use: Hands-on training with manual and power trade tools.
- Job-Site Safety: OSHA 10 Construction Certification.
- Trade Math & Plans: Tape measuring, practical math, and basic blueprint reading.
- Core Trades: Intro to Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and Carpentry.
- Professional Skills: Jobsite communication, punctuality, and teamwork.
Mentorship Programs
Every participant is paired with an active industry mentor who meets with them bi-weekly to offer career advice, share real-world experience, and guide them through licensing and apprenticeship paths. Mentorship runs throughout the program and extends for six months post-graduation to support participants as they enter the workforce.
Community Workshops
We host free workshops that introduce community members, especially young adults and people considering a career change, to the skilled trades. Workshops cover career options in the trades, what the work involves, typical pay ranges, and how to get started
Entrepreneurship Support
When participants complete training, we help them take the next step:
- Resume writing and interview practice
- Guidance on apprenticeship programs and licensing requirements
- Introductions to employer partners who are hiring
- Follow-up support during the first months on the job
